ENKI LABS

Test jigs and fixtures · Product engineering

Faster, more reliable testing, with jigs built for your board.

We design and build the complete tool: mechanical structure, board contact, electronics, firmware and test software. The operator places the board, closes the press and gets the result, with everything logged.

The problem

Manual testing costs more than it seems

It is slow

Probes, multimeters and paper log sheets tie up skilled technicians on every board tested.

It is inconsistent

Results depend on who runs the test. Defects slip through and only show up later, in assembly or at the customer.

It leaves no trace

Without records per serial number, it is hard to investigate a failure or prove the quality of a batch.

THE SOLUTION

A dedicated test tool: place the board, close the press and get pass/fail in seconds, with the result saved.

Test jigs

Test tools for development and production

For companies that develop or manufacture electronics and want better testing, without pulling their own team away to build tools.

Programming jigs

Flash firmware, calibrate and write serial numbers quickly and repeatably, over SWD, JTAG or UART.

Functional testing (FCT)

Bed-of-nails fixtures that check power rails, current draw, inputs, outputs and communications.

Validation benches

Setups for engineering tests, burn-in and long-duration testing during development.

Fixtures and holders

Assembly, inspection and positioning fixtures, custom-made with 3D printing, laser cutting or CNC.

Turnkey

What you get in every project

No need to coordinate several suppliers. You get a ready-to-use tool, documented and validated with real boards.

Mechanical structure Base, press and board nest, made in-house with fast iterations.
Board contact Pogo pins, connectors and test points placed from your PCB files.
Electronics and firmware Controlled power, voltage and current measurement, I/O, programming and test control.
Software and logging Easy-to-run test sequences, pass/fail results and records per serial number.
Documentation and training User and maintenance manual, plus operator training at start-up.

Other services

Product engineering, from concept to production

Beyond test tools, we support the development of the product itself, with the same team and the same workshop.

R&D

Research and development

Technical exploration of new ideas, to validate the approach before investing in product development.

  • Technical feasibility studies
  • Proofs of concept
  • Evaluation of technologies, sensors and components
HW / FW

Hardware and firmware development

Electronics and embedded firmware, from schematic to working board, designed from the start for manufacturing and certification.

  • Schematic capture and PCB layout
  • Microcontroller firmware
  • Review of existing designs
PROTOTYPES

Electronic and mechanical prototypes

Working prototypes that combine electronics and mechanics: boards, enclosures, structures and custom parts.

  • 3D printing, laser cutting and CNC
  • Electronics and mechanics integration
  • Fast iterations between versions
CERTIFICATION

Certification readiness support

Preparing the product and its documentation before lab testing, to reduce surprises and repeat tests.

  • Design review for compliance
  • Technical file support
PRODUCTION

Production support

From prototype to production, with small-batch assembly and preparation for external manufacturing.

  • Small-batch assembly
  • Final testing on our own benches
  • Production documentation and handover to the manufacturer

Process

Four phases, no surprises

Each phase has a fixed price and acceptance criteria agreed up front. We only move to the next one with your approval.

PHASE 1

Specification

We define what needs to be tested, cycle times, volumes and the format of the results.

PHASE 2

Design

Mechanical design, interface schematic and software architecture, reviewed with you before we build.

PHASE 3

Build

Manufacturing, assembly and integration of the fixture, electronics, firmware and software.

PHASE 4

Validation and delivery

Testing with real boards, documentation, operator training and start-up support.

Frequently asked questions

Before you request a quote

What information do I need to send?

The board files (Gerbers, BOM and test point locations) and a description of what needs to be checked. If you do not have the files, a few physical boards are also a good starting point.

How much does a jig cost?

It depends on the number of test points, the measurements and the software required. After a first conversation, we send a proposal with a fixed price for each phase.

What if the board changes revision?

We design our tools with interchangeable nests and interfaces, so a new board revision does not mean starting from scratch.

Will my files stay confidential?

Yes. We sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) before receiving any technical information.
